Weatherproof front of house

The front of the house requires weatherproofing. This is south facing and under extreme southerly conditions water leaks appear at the floor level. This could be caused by rusted/non existent head flashing (1970's aluminium joinery) or flashing issue where the wall meets the roof line. The weatherboards and insulation may need a total replacement and therefore a repaint. This will most likely need scaffolding it is all above the garage. Access is easy and we have had scaffolding before for house painting.
