Fixing hole in exterior cladding - damage caused by door handle

Job description

New Cladding
Wellington

Fixing a hole in exterior cladding. The cladding seems to be a fibre-cement weatherboard. The hole was made by a round door handle (when the door was caught by a high wind gust). Approximately 10 - 15 cm damage. The damage affects two of the horizontal boards, as the door handle hit at the overlapping part of two boards. The hole has been temporarily covered by waterproof sheet. Sheet attached with liquid nails type adhesive. Unsure whether the fix would involve replacing the damaged boards, or whether a permanent patch/fill would work.
