Vent removal / brick cladding repair job

We have an old copper pipe coming out of the house (we don't know what it was connected to, but it is not currently connected to anything) which will need cutting and removal and the hole being closed up. Immediately next to it is a vent which was previously connected to an indoor movable air-condition unit (size of hole is about 12x12cm). The inside gib has been fixed up. We'd like to have the outside cladding repaired to match the remainder of the house as closely as possible - we believe we have bricks that would be suitable to use - and it is important that the wall is waterproof and fully closed up to ensure no water enters the inside. While there, remaining cement / concrete can be used to repair some minor cracks and bits that have come off the corner of the house (on the concrete blocks form the foundation as can be seen in the picture). Will need own tools.
