Hi - we are wanting carpet laid in our downstairs bedroom. I've attached a plan the bedroom is 3.15m x3m with an attached cupboard 0.8x1.3m. It is on a concrete base. We have several pieces of leftover carpet from when we carpeted our upstairs 18mths ago which we want to use. It is Godfrey Hirst Solution Dyed Nylon 55 Oz. We would want to keep and use the rooms existing carpet rails and the existing underlay as they appear in very good condition (it's still the original blue carpet from 1990's in place and easy to remove). I have several pieces of the new carpet rolled up. I have measured them up, and the two largest would seem to be enough (0.88mx7m and 2.85mx3.30m), but there would have to be a join. I think this could be put under the bed and side tables and so wouldn't have much foot traffic over it or be too visible, and the cupboard too would need a join too. The pieces have an edge or seam (?) on one side which might help with joining/glueing? (see pics). The largest piece (2.85x3.30m) has been folded in two and rolled to be stored upright so when I rolled it out it had some wrinkles in it, I don't know if this would be an issue? I assume it gets stretched when it is fitted? I would ideally like this to be done on Friday 29th April, as I am off then and could remove the furniture (and the old carpet if needed) the night before so everything is set to go. Cheers!
