Repair carpet with piece supplied

The job requires fitting a 1270 mm x 1140 mm piece of carpet into a gap left in the existing carpet, resulting from removal of a fireplace base. The flooring base is timber. The carpet to repair this gap is supplied and comes from a 1780 mm x 1170 mm mat of the same carpet. The job will require partly lifting the existing carpet, fixing the new piece of carpet to the existing carpet and then relaying, placing a piece of underlay under the new piece of carpet as well.
