Trimming, stretching and finishing carpet (adding finishing bars) in lounge area
Job description
We have angled windows in our lounge - when the carpet was installed a few years ago, the carpet ran straight up to the joinery. The joinery has been leaking and we need to trim off the affected carpet, and put in silver finishing bars. We have the same angled windows in a spare room, and we want to match the same carpet finish as we have in that room. I have attached photos with explanation below, and the measurements of the angled windows. Hopefully that helps, as it quite tricky to explain without being able to see the windows in question. Picture 1 - a zoomed out photo of the lounge so you can understand the "big picture" Picture 2 - the current finish of the carpet runs straight up to the windows. The joinery is old and when it rains at a certain angle, water penetrates and the carpet has started to rot. We would like it trimmed back and silver door bar installed for each window in scope (x 4). Picture 3 - the finish in our spare room is the same look we are hoping to achieve in the lounge. It is much tidier and it is easy to wipe up any water that comes in. Picture 4 - there is a cat door in the lounge, which is out of scope. From left to right, the width of each angled window measures: 175mm 171mm 176mm 174mm Thank you.

Rachel and Dan Fromm Elite Carpet Cleaning were excellent to deal with. Rachel was prompt and friendly with her administrative assistance and Dan showed up on time, was super friendly, and completed my small (size, not complexity!) project very efficiently. It even came in under budget, which was a delightful surprise. I struggled to find a carpet layer who would take on this cuddly little job, so kudos to Wlite for taking it on.
