Replace vinyl floor kitchen & bathroom

I want an idea to update the kitchen & bathroom flooring in my house in blenheim It is currently vinyl/Lino and I want to explore the options of placing new flooring over the top of the existing product or replace it all together. I am wanting a far more modern look with a dark colour. The total floor space is approx 80m2 so I think that it would be a maximum of 25-30 m2 would be the job size.
