Carpet laying for wardrobe

In order to install wardrobe slider doors, the carpet will need to be cut into to place the bottom tracks. The carpet around this area will need to be re-layed. The wardrobe doors and carpet cutting will occur in about 3 weeks so the carpet will need to be re-layed after this. Not sure if additional carpet will be required or whether the existing carpet can just be re-layed? The wardrobe is about 220.5cm wide
