Memorial Avenue Carpet Laying

I intend lifting a very old carpet and relaying a near new loop pile replacement which will come out of a reasonably modern home. Therefore there will be re-sizing / trimming involved. Ours is an older home with wooden floors. There are 4 bedrooms and two living areas. I have no idea whether the existing underlay or strips can be reused. Looking for 2 quotes per m2 ............... (a) reusing underlay. (b) Laying both new underlay & carpet. Old carpet will be removed by owner. Many thanks
