Living room recarpet

We have a large piece of carpet that's about 2 years old. So we need to have the old carpet lifted and cut into perhaps 4 manageable pieces and then lay the replacement carpet. We can use the former underlay, I think. There is one part where a fireplace used to be that might need underlay.
