Decking upgrade - cosmetic / moisture proofing

The decking is in contact with the wall cladding and a 12mm gap is required where decking meets a wall to allow water to freely drain. Some of the deck boards are cosmetically poor from deterioration and can be replaced. Entry steps at the northern elevation present a fall hazard to the side and this falls short of the requirements of the NZBC. We require further advise/investigation from a LBP. If we can get a someone to have a look asap - that would be most appreciated.
