Repair/upgrade - Stairs and balustrade from car deck.
Job description
Hello, I am needing to make these steps more sturdy and secure for the impending birth of my first child and getting around as a new Mum - the work would therefore ideally need to be completed by the end of July latest (baby due early August). * In terms of the technical work - I am not expecting to bring absolutely everything up to modern safety standards but at least make an improvement as to what is there. * The main focus is the steps and the handrail - making the handrail more sturdy and secure and perhaps adding another handrail on the side where there is one missing. * There is also some wood on the balusrades that is rotting. * Potentially have the gaps between the stair treads are closed down to approximately 100 mm for safety. Trev repaired and strengthened some wooden handrails and stairs for us. The quality of his workmanship is excellent and we are really pleased with the results. When quoting he was thorough with measuring. Despite COVID disruptions he managed to complete the job on time. In person he is very friendly and explains what he is doing really well. Only area for improvement is he can take a while to respond to texts so sometimes a follow up is beneficial.
