Carpentry For New Skylight

Form new opening in existing roof framing. Frame out for skylight including cutting and trimming out rafter. Form skylight box and 'curb' as required by Velux product data sheet. Upstand to be framed to install skylight at 15 degrees (surrounding roof is 9 degrees). Plasterboard lining required to vertical faces of skylight box within skillion roof ready to be plastered. Overall roof depth plus skylight upstand (curb) expected to be approximately 500mm to existing ceiling. Work alongside roofer (already appointed). Roofer to cut opening in metal corrugate roofing, install skylight and flashings. Strong preference is for work to be undertaken week of 12-16 April (next week). Other dates to be discussed if required. LBP Carpentry required.
