Door conversion

I have two sets of old wardrobe doors (4x doors) and I would like to convert them to two (or three) sets of folding doors. They currently measure 510mm and 610mm wide. The idea is to convert them so that I can use them on the front of a storage cupboard, without them taking up as much space when open, ie the gap required becomes 305mm rather than 610mm. From my basic research it is possible to do but would require the hinges to be rebated, which is beyond my abilities. I would also require them to be prepared for hanging, any new hinges, tracks etc.
