Hi there, I'm working with Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari and need a large outdoor table built within the next 3 weeks approx. Basically we are wanting a large rustic looking outdoor table built from rata and or tawa (we have the wood supply already in 4m railing lengths). It'll sit in the bush on the mountain on a relatively flat dirt surface. Ideally we would love a slab top (looking into sourcing a macrocarpa slab) to give that natural wood edge for the table top - but open to using only the wood we have. It needs to be big enough to seat 12 people around it - I'm thinking approx 3.5m long, maybe 1.2 or 1.2m wide roughly. Natural edge/rustic type. Want it to blend in with the bush as much as possible so not heavily sanded or polished etc. It will live outside but we'll get a cover for it. I've attached a picture for design reference - not set on this base style so open to ideas. Just want a boardroom table style rather than picnic table style. Need a couple of bench seats for each side too. I've also attached pictures and measurements of the tawa/rata wood we have. Access to site: We have 4wd quad and trailer access almost all the way - last 50m or so will need to carry it in but we have plenty of hands that can do that. So weight needs to be considered. Potentially building base and top seperate and putting together onsite. Would like it completed by mid October. Builder could be based in Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Hamilton or even Putaruru/Tirau. We can get the wood to you and can pick table up when ready to take to Maungatautari mountain. Cheers, Kylie
