Straighten a wall around a door jam

Since we have owned this house, this wall has been crooked. It is a small section of wall between one of the bedrooms and the hallway cupboard that is out of alignment at the bottom, we would like to understand the options to straighten it. The cupboard door is becoming more stuck at the bottom and is difficult to open, we suspect it is related.
