Remedial work water damage

We require a builder in Palmerston North to remove external plaster around the vicinity of cracks to determine the extent of rotting wood. The wooden balcony beam which was exposed by removing kitchen gibboard revealed that the wood had black mould and was rotten. The extent of the rotten wood is not known until external plaster is removed. This should also expose the location of the leak damage which may or may not be from this crack in the plaster but may have arisen further up plaster on external wall. When this exploratory work has been carried out remedial and associated work will need to be done in replacing the wooden beam and surrounding wooden struts before external plastering can be carried out.
