Extensive elevated deck repair, including replacing 2 metal poles holding it up
Job description
Elevated deck has many rotting boards and also needs 2 x metal poles holding up the deck, replaced as I've been told that they are rusting from the inside. It also requires a short gate installation with a square hole cut into the bottom for a cat to get through, as it currently doesn't have one and the sides don't have enough planks and don't meet health and safety standards. The steep stairs to the deck are in good condition ( think just 2 small boards might need replacing), the deck and stairs are secured well to the side of the house and the beams supporting the floorboards are fine. The floorboards of the deck are rotted and need completely replacing and I'm unsure if the railing just needs a repair or if it requires replacement as well. It also needs some flaps put underneath the deck to deflect rain away from the house as some of it has been entering the basement (you can copy my neighbours deck re the flaps they have beneath their deck). I was hoping to get this repaired prior to Xmas as I want to sell the house and would prefer to not have to wait until after the holiday period for the repair to be done. The metal poles are 2.5m high. The deck measurements (not including the stairs) are 3.4m long x 1.70m wide. The new gate it requires will measure 77.5cm high x 70cm wide with a square hole at the bottom for a cat to get through so it. You will need to come around and quote, so please ignore my expected cost if it's way off.

Job was an almost rebuild of an elevated deck and was done by owner/operator Tim and I think, their employee, Harley. Very reliable, efficient and flexible, no hidden extras, everything as per the quote. The cost was less expensive than other quotes, yet for good craftmanship. Arrived on time for the quote and job, no rescheduling of times, very easy process, job started and completed within days of him coming around to do the quote. Gives sound advice and the deck looks great!
