Raise Height of Outdoor Spa Pool

Job image
Job image

Job description

Decking & Pergolas
North Shore

The spa pool walls are currently 0.38m above the deck (it is sunk into the deck). This needs to be raised to 0.8m above the deck as per new regulations. It will need to sit on something which can safely support its weight and not collapse or fall sideways as full with water it will be very heavy. I estimate it is between --- litres, which would be 1,000kg-2,000kg. I would guess concrete would be the best option, but I don't know, perhaps timber would be good enough. It is on about a 10 degree slope. There are two pipes one for delivering water and one for taking water away. The angle and lengths would need to be adjusted as the spa is moved. There is also an electric line for the spa lights, but I expect there is enough slack there for it to be raised ok. There are also 3 pneumatic lines connected to pneumatic switches built into the spa. Once raised up, for aethetics, timber or something would need to be put around the spa to make the spa walls (similarly to how it is now).

They turned up 3 days after being awarded the contract, which was quick. They thought it would take 2-3 days but it took 4-5 days. It was fixed price so that didn't really matter to me. There were a few bits and pieces which I wanted changed and Johan sent someone around the next day to sort out, no problem at all. Johan very much looks after the customer and ensures they are happy with the job. They also took care of extra details I hadn't thought of, without charge. Honest and professional.
