We have five joists under our floor that have been damaged and need reinforcing. We are wanting to get new timber up against the current joist to reinforce them. The bearers are about 5ft apart, and will need new timber notched to fit over the bearers, and secured to the current joists. Access is an in-floor manhole in a bedroom, and there's about 18" of room between the dirt and current bearers.
