Outside Face Lift

We are looking at doing a pergola type structure down one side of the house (see red on 'Outdoor Plan') and we are looking at wooden awning structures over the windows mostly on the other side of the house (see blue on 'Outdoor Plan'). I have attached a picture of our windows and want to do our best to protect them. For the pergola we were thinking about it not being attached to the house to avoid the consent process. We are totally open to advice and suggestions. Timeframe - before next winter. We don't know what is under the top layer - the top layer is a mixture of gravel and soil. If you come to quote, I would recommend having a wee dig.
