Rebuild our deck

The timber deck on our house is in a bad state and needs to be rebuilt. Probably from scratch. The main deck is about 10 metres x 6 metres, and stands about 2.4 metres high. There is another section down the side of the house that is 1.3m wide and about 15.5m long. The ground slopes so this path runs from the deck height (2.4m) to ground level at the back of the house. There is also a small shed underneath the deck that we'd like to replace if possible too. We want to replace like with like, but properly built and in better materials. We'd like to consider also whether we can build in some shade - a pergola roof or similar. Ideally the work would start anytime after the middle of February. We are in Ferry Landing, Whitianga. Site access is good.
