Wardrobe shelves

We have a 2x4 white cube of shelves in our wardrobe; one of the horizontal shelves has broken and there's a crack in the vertical middle divider. The surround is glued/sealed into the wall and we'd like to avoid having to take the entire cube shelf out so we don't have to mess up the paint, skirtings etc; perhaps the centre horizontal and vertical divider can be unscrewed, removed, a replacement vertical and horizontal shelf made in the same size and refitted?
