Adjustments to Kitchen Cabinetry

Hi there, Need to make some adjustments to some kitchen cabinetry to improve the air flow around our induction cook top. Have been advised to cut a slot in the kick board below the bottom pot drawer as well as slot for air in the base of the back of the cabinet. Also have a "magic corner" cupboard that is no longer soft closing and needs adjusting if possible?
