Caport conversion to garage

We have a single carport we'd like to convert in to a garage, with room for storage, and potentially space for the laundry to be moved from the house. Carport runs alongside house, and has a door into the house. Ideally we would also run a hallway between house and the new garage to connect to existing doorway in to the house and create a front door but this isn't a necessity.
