We are looking at having a new kitchen installed, and as we do we wish to make some changes to the internal walls. The work would include the addition of one internal wall between the kitchen and laundry, and also removal of part of the wall between kitchen and lounge. This wall is possibly load bearing (it currently has an arch-way in it), and we have a solid idea of what we would like, however are unsure as to what is possible. When the kitchen goes in, we are looking to remove the calk-board flooring and exploring options on either sanding/polishing the wood beneath, or laying another form of flooring (e.g. Lino) depending on cost. As the existing cupboards are to the roof, we will most likely need to be replacing some of the interior roof lining as well. The kitchen design is yet to be decided on, so dates are still not set. We are looking for approximate costs on the walls initially, however will accept someone who is willing to work on multiple parts of the project.
