Replace flashing

A corner of the flashing between the cladding on my house has rusted badly and needs to be replaced. Ideally I would like to replace the flashing without any re cladding required. However I will take advice on whether recladding is needed and if so to what extent. Current cladding is plasterboard (with asbestos!) . I will post up a photo of the flashing tomorrow.
