Possible leak

My ceiling has a stain which looks like stained from the leak. I painted on top of the stain but a few months later the stain started to appear again. I went up to the attic and searched the area right above the stain on the ceiling is but I can never find any sign of the leak even when it heavily rains. Please see the attached photo of the stain on the ceiling and the area in the attic right above the stain. I would like a professional investigation on where this stain comes from if possible and repair in case it is due to the leak.
