Job description

Sleepouts & Cabins Hobsonville, Waitakere

Published on 27th January 2026

I’m converting an under-house space into a usable room and need a competent builder to finish it properly. Area is already cleared, primed, and marine carpet is laid. Some existing framing/lining is already in place, however assume new wall + ceiling lining as part of scope. Approx room size: 4.2m long x 1.92m wide. Scope: • Frame new internal wall (left side) • Include internal door in new wall for access to under-house storage • Insulate wall(s) • GIB line new wall + ceiling (ready for paint) • Close in ceiling • Properly seal existing external door (weather/air tight) • Supply + install small window next to door • Basic electrical: lighting + 2 power points (happy for builder to coordinate sparky, or I can) Not a luxury fit-out — just solid, compliant, tidy workmanship. Space is easily accessible.
