At the moment, the porch is open, has no door, and the floor is just decking boards. I'd like to enclose it with a door and lay down proper plywood and lino flooring on the inside. Depending on cost, I'd also like to move the steps back and add a small covered area in front of the new door. That would mean extending the house roof over the new landing or covered area. The idea is to take off boots, fold umbrellas etc before stepping inside onto the porch.
