The back verandah was extended by a builder who stated because it was existing it did not need consent/certificate of acceptance. We have been informed that the as-built construction needs to be fully substantiated and structural adequacy assessed by a structural engineer to confirm it meets building code requirements. We have all the building material receipts and all the electrical, gas and plumbing certified. Then do we need a certificate of acceptance report and application????
