Replace base plate in bathroom

In the bathroom we have had leaking problems in the shower that could not be resolved. At a last besought I have completely removed the whole shower and have discovered the wooden base plate behind the two walls have rotted out and need replacing. Also small patches of gib board need to be repaired on the adjoining wall behind where the shower had been.
