Council compliance

Job description

General Building
Rodney

We recently discovered that the conservatory attached to the house and built by the previous owners does not comply with the plans that they submitted. Specifically: * Subfloor bracing *Subfloor bearers/stringers fixings The conservatory is 3m x 2.4m and the piles were inspected and approved at the time of construction ( --- ). I have the plans from the property file on site and can discuss the requirements and the Council inspectors comments. The work required is to quote for remediation for the two points above, so they comply with the plans. Depending on cost it would be good to get the work done soon.

The work passed the Council inspection but I was surprised he didn't provide jacks as we had discussed, and there was a need to fill gaps with wedges. I spoke to someone else in the industry who said that was "normal". In the end, Council passed the work so I can't complain.
