Building a new deck

I am looking to get a quote to build a new deck, so I can assess how realistic it is to do this. The deck will be over 2m above the ground so will require consents. I anticipate that this will be a fairly large project, but am open to suggestions to keep costs down. I can send photos and more detailed description of my idea on request.
