Build a short fence on top of a brick wall

I need a wooden fence (approx. 4 meters long) built on top of an existing brick wall. The brick wall is about 1 meter high and I am hoping a couple of fence posts can be dug in directly behind the wall and a wooden fence can extend the wall up to 1.8m high. There is currently a tree there which I will have had removed.
