Rebuilding of 2-storey entrance

Our 2-storey entrance needs replacing. Current one is built on a concrete block base which would likely all need demolition as the whole entrance including the blocks are tilting away from the house. See photos. We're looking to replace it with simple wooden steps & ballustrade but open to ideas. We're not after a "cheap" job with all that implies, nor after a premium build - just something that is functional, durable and not ugly. If that's up your alley please get it touch.
