We are building a 55m2 extension onto our house and planned to join our Versatile 54m2 garage ontoone side of the extension. We have just had plans drawn and ready to go to council but weren't fully aware of the extent of the work to match the garage with extension. We are wondering if it would be cheaper to knock down the garage and build another or go with plans to alter existing garage. I'll enclose the plans but if it's not clear draughtsman has written 'ridge of extg garage will need to be shifted over so that internal gutree can be formed', 'reroof half of garage', 'existing garage is to be lifted approx 150mm so that a concrete nib can be poured on top of existing concrete slab'. We are just after a rough idea of cost to either build a garage onto the extension or to keep existing garage with the alterations required. Thank you
