I have a basement rumpus that was not built with proper damp-proofing. I need 2-3 walls rebuilt and basic waterproofing. Preference is to pay for materials separately after discussing a plan as I have already started gathering materials for this. Hoping for work to be started within the next 4-6 weeks.

I was quoted a labour only contract for the waterproofing and wall replacement of the basement, and also the replacement of a rotten window sill. The basement wall and waterproofing were done to a good standard, and the builder got a friend to plaster and sand the wall at no cost, but the windowsill was carved out and left for 6 months with flashing tape covering it. Communication deteriorated and I ended up getting another builder in to replace the windowsill at additional cost of $500.
