Garage to studio conversion

Hi there I have an existing Versatile 2 car garage at the rear of our property, and I would like to investigate options for converting the right half of it to a 1 bedroom studio. It will initially be used for extended family members to stay when they are visiting, with a potential view to using for AirBNB (or like) in the future. I would look to retain existing right roller door and side door entrance, and instead install new ranch slider on right wall for access to studio. Primary reason for doing this is to reserve space for relocating laundry tub and washing machine to garage (eventually), and facilitate better access to other side of garage. New partitioning walls down middle of garage and at fore end of studio required to create the space. Possibly need to install raised floor over existing concrete floor for insulation purposes. New ceiling to be constructed covering half of studio (to facilitate storage above), with the rest following existing roof-line if possible. Would look to have small wet room at rear-left of studio with shower, toilet and small wall-hung vanity (separated by cavity-sliding door), so these internal walls would need to be built also. In the future we'd look to add a compact kitchenette at rear-right. Needs to be plumbed for sewerage, and mains water supply. Will obviously need building consent for construction, but not sure about resource consent legislation and whether one would be needed for a project of this nature. Overall existing garage dimensions (approx):- Width = 5.8m Length = 6.7m Studio dimensions (approx):- Width = 2.9m Length = 5.4m Would look do the gibbing, painting and internal fit out ourselves. While provided plan is drawn to scale, it does not take into account space needed for wall cavities and is conceptual only. Just wanting to get rough quotes at this stage so we know what we are up against financially. Many thanks Geoff
