I have an insert fire on brick wall/surround, with a raised concrete hearth approx. 345cm long x 38cm wide x23cm high. I am planning on removing the raised concrete hearth, replacing with floor level hearth approx. 200cm, plastering over brick surround of fire. Removal of original hearth on concrete floor must leave flat surface for replacement hearth and carpet. Initial interest in hearth removal, happy to deal separately with plastering, replacement hearth.
