House Extension - Havelock North (approx. 60sqm) #2
Job description
I invite appropriately skilled builders to register interest for the labour only portion of a house extension I am wishing to undertake. The existing house is situated on a flat easily accessible site approx. 3km from Havelock North village centre heading out towards Napier. The original house built in 2007 is finished in Zincalume with Cedar highlights. Architecturally designed and built as my bachelor pad with level, easy access in mind it’s been a great house for me over the past 10 years. With a young child, wife and changing needs I’m now needing a bit more space. The addition consists of an entirely new parallel wing with master bedroom, en-suite, wardrobe, and lounge. This new wing will be connected by a hall and will also house a new walk in pantry and covered lean-to. With this build it is my intention to get the slab laid and then have the builder provide their labour services from the slab up (excluding the install of the roofing, zincalume, flashings and spouting) . Obviously as part of this overall project there will be a requirement for the builder to work in with other sub contractors as appropriate (I.e. sparky, plumber, painter, etc.) and also advise on timing requirements for materials, etc. In terms of timing, I have consent and am looking to have the slab down by the beginning of Oct (2019) and am working on a likely start time immediately after that (with completion by Christmas). Finally, with the above although my preference is for a labour only contract, at this time nothing is set in stone. Therefore as an alternative if you feel you would like to discuss contracting the entire job to a greater or lesser extent I may be open to this as well.
