Taioma Road

We are building an off-the-grid pole barn house on Taioma Road above Mosgiel looking out to Mount Hyde. Plans are currently with the council so hoping to start as soon as they come back approved but can be flexible for the right builder. The house is a single level t-shaped home sort of split into wings with one wing (lounge, kitchen, dining) having a vaulted ceiling and the second wing with the bedrooms, both opening up onto the beautiful view over the hills to Mount Hyde. While this is our first full build, we do have a lot of experience renovating and DIYing so we are looking to help with the build (such as putting in bats etc). One of us is an electrician who will be doing all the electrical and we are likely to get the plumbing done by family friends - but we will all be working in with our builder to keep with the building schedule.
