I have an old carport I need rebuilt with new timber beams because the old beams are rotting out. However you can most likely reuse the old roofing iron. It is not a hard job because all the posts are in and the roof just need taking off, the beams replaced and then the roofing iron replaced. Maybe it could be guttered as well for the rain. Anyway if you are interested in what should be a quick easy job, please let me know and come and have a look and give a quote. Cheers

While the job was completed on time some of the carport roof framing was not totally square. Also when the steel roof was put on it did not completely cover the wooden roof framing which leaves it exposed to the elements. There was a large piece of steel roofing iron left behind which if it had been put up should have covered the whole of the wooden framing but I do not know what the problem was. I am going to have to get the roof done again so all the wooden framing is protected.

"Due to the nature of this project and reusing the existing posts. This along with the proximity of the house meant a square and true construction couldn’t be obtained and was talked about prior to the job starting. Flashings for the roof have been discussed but to my knowledge wasn’t in the clients budget at the time.
Follow up communication on getting these flashings installed was tried but no engagement/ replies were received."
