The central beam in our carport is crumbling at the ends and not well attached. The upright posts are not adequate to hold the roof long term. We need remedial work to either replace the horizontal beam or shore it up with another one underneath. Also, to shore up the existing posts by bolting extra reinforcing to them. The job requires an LBP with knowledge of structural requirements to advise on exactly what the situation calls for.
