car port roof re paint

Me and my neighbor are considering repainting the carport roof and removing the rust to the best that can be done. This is to extend the life expectancy of the roof and the structure. I have attached photos of a portion of the carport. There are some parts the rust has gone through. Replacing the roof would be too much at the moment. So repainting roofing and possible sealant on the bad parts may be required. It all depends on the cost. I have attached photos. If too expensive my neighbour may delay it but i would consider my half. Cheers Callum
