We have a brick house built in the 60s. It has a single garage attached to the house and has some cracked bricks in the top and corners of the door frame. I have had an insurance assessor come and have a look and he recommends: Allowed to remove bricks from top of garage door height from house corner to bedroom 3 window as neceesary. Rebuild brick wall using removed and cleaned bricks to soffit on either side of garage door. Clad above garage to soffit with timber boards and paint 3 coats. Bricks very unlikely to be able to be matched as built in 1960s and not standard bricks. Discussed repair option with insured.
