There is a great house I'm looking at buying, It just needs opening up in the kitchen/living area. This would involve removing a fireplace that currently has a woodburner in it. I hope the woodburner could be moved to another fireplace in the same area of the house, and the fireplace and chimney in the kitchen area could be removed. I have thought of getting a structural engineer to look at it, I guess I'll be able to find one around here. What would this cost to have done? Other than the damn mess, what else should I be considering?
