The former garage is being converted into minor dwelling and will be re-clad. Due to the contour of the land, two sides of the garage have concrete blocks on top of the concrete footing and the concrete slab floor was poured inside. This means that one layer of concrete blocks will be visible once the cladding is installed (as it can't go lower than 50mm from the floor level) and I need to find a way to improve the appearance of that part of the building. One way this could be possibly achieved is to use cement render to make the concrete footing and one layer of concrete block appear as a single structure that can be painted later. So I'd like to explore this approach.
