Need original house plans drawn up for future renos

We are looking to do some slight renovations to our lounge. However, we discovered we will need to seek consent for some of the changes we are looking to make. Therefore, we will need to submit along with our desire changes, the original house plans which are from the 1960s and barely legible. We are looking to have house plans drawn up for our existing property that we can use for future renos.
