I am currently seeking a draftsman to help with renovation in the Mount which requires resource consent. We want to start with the kitchen and remove what we believe are non load bearing walls ( still to be confirmed by a qualified builder ) remove the old hot water cylinder to the exterior of the house. ( I believe consent is needed for this ) . To create more space in the kitchen, and ultimately incorporate the laundry and kitchen into one room which will bring a more open plan and modern feel to the house. We will also want to add new fixture to the kitchen being a dish washer ( i believe consent is needed for this also ) . In time we would like to renovate the bathroom which will be a complete overlay of the exiting lay out but would incorporate better ventilation. Most of the bedrooms will remain the same apart from the master which will eventually have doors that open out onto a new deck. We would also look and installing an outdoor shower in years to come. As you can see by the photos attached our existing floor plans are very old and hard to read as the house was built in 1977. I am keen to get the ball rolling as soon as possible on this project, and am keen to hear back from anyone interested. I can send rough plans that i have drawn but i cant seem to upload them on this platform for some reason.
